 Carleen Ramlochansingh, a harmonious blend of Indian, Spanish and African ancestry, was born in the magnificent city of San Fernando, Trinidad, but grew up the academic capital of the West Indies, St. Augustine. Carleen entered this world to parents, Carol and Joseph Ramlochansingh. She has one sister Carlana.
She fulfilled her primary school education at Curepe Presbyterian School and attended high school at St. Joseph Convent, St. Joseph. She then chose to pursue her tertiary education at the prestigious Morgan State University, Baltimore, Maryland.
Carleen graduated in May 2006 with honors, Magna Cum Laude, with a Bachelors of Science degree in Marketing. During her tenure at Morgan State, she had a great impact on the university and headed several Caribbean organizations and associations using her talents to always bring Caribbean people of diverse heritage together

Notwithstanding her previous failures in her attempt of gaining one of the highest achievements in a beauty pageant, 20-year-old lass from Himamaylan City, finally had the best time of her life after winning the Miss Earth-Mambukal 2007 held at the Mambukal Resort in Minoyan, Murcia Saturday night.
Grazel Torrecampo, a fourth year college student, taking up Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE) at the Technological University of the Philippines (TUP), was hailed second runner-up in the last year’s search for Lin-ay sg Himamaylan and a first runner-up in their school’s beauty tilt.

Located at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains, Pasadena is just 15 minutes north of downtown Los Angeles in sunny southern California. During the pageant period, friends, family members and fans are expected to visit Pasadena and millions will tune-in to watch the live telecast.
Montana native, Katie Blair, Miss Teen USA® 2006, spent her reign this past year traveling the nation as a spokesperson for various teen issues as well as participating in numerous community service projects around the country. Blair will crown her successor at the conclusion of the two-hour primetime telecast, before an estimated viewing audience of 250 million. Each contestant from all 50 states and the District of Columbia will be judged in three categories: swimsuit, evening gown and interview. The show will conclude with one girl ultimately being crowned Miss Teen USA® 2007. The 2007 Miss Teen USA® pageant will take place within the walls of Pasadena's greatest indoor sports and entertainment facility, the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. Built in 1931, the historic theatre is one of the most revered performance halls in the nation.

Thompson beat out 31 other entrants in the three-day competition. She will now represent the Badger State in the Miss America pageant this fall. The first runner-up was Miss Fox River Valley Michelyn Butler, 24, of Madison. The second runner-up was Miss Wisconsin Rapids Area Shinae Kulhanek.

There will be 29 contestants at this year's Miss Uganda pageant, each vying for the crown Praise Akankwatsa has worn during an extended two-year reign. The beauties were unveiled at a low-key cocktail party held at Kampala Serena Hotel's Victoria Gallery last Friday whose guest list comprised a couple of notable city socialites and social climbers. Some of the contestants expected to participate in the Miss Uganda 2007 finals at Serena Hotel on July 28. The finalists include the four regional winners- May Amongi (Northern), Diana Alinaffe (Western), Mary Towaali Kankyo (Eastern) and Victor Daisy Nabagereka (Central)- who had a head start in the contest having been chosen earlier during upcountry searches in the respective towns of Gulu, Fort Portal, Mbale and Jinja.
