Somerset, KY: Shannen Reil of West Van Lear, Kentucky was crowned the new 2008 Miss Kentucky TEEN USA®.

The pageant was held in Somerset at the Center for Rural Development and over 50 young ladies from across the entire state competed for the prestigious title.

Preliminary competitions were held on Friday night and the final competition followed on Saturday night in which the contestants competed in personality interview, swimsuit, and evening gown.

Shannen Reil was crowned by the reigning 2007 Miss Kentucky TEEN USA®, Katrina Giannini. Miss Reil is 15 years old and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Reil.

As Miss Kentucky TEEN USA®, Shannen Reil will embark on a year long journey making personal appearances throughout the state as the reigning MISS KENTUCKY TEEN USA®.

Mexico's Priscila Perales has won the Miss International Pageant in Japan, which to her is 'a dream come true', the beauty queen told EFE.

'I'm enjoying it a lot and I still can't believe it,' said the 24-year-old Mexican, who won Monday over 60 other beauties from around the world in the Miss International Pageant held in Tokyo and organised by the International Cultural Association of Japan. 

Thirty-three beauties from around the world will converge in Sibu,

Malaysian eastern state of Sarawak in December to compete in the finals of the World Miss Tourism Pageant 2007, an official of Sarawak in Sibu announced on Monday.

The participants would arrive in Malaysia from Nov. 23 to 25, said Wong Soon Koh, Urban Development and Tourism Minister of Sarawak state.

They would then leave for Kuching, capital city of Sarawak state, and Miri, a city in Sarawak,

to visit various tourism destinations before coming back on Dec. 2 for the grand final on Dec. 7.
