MISS WORLD CONTESTANTS ENJOY THE VIEW |

This morning 26 Miss World contestants enjoyed some spectacular views of Sanya's coastline from the Deer Park. A 40 minute drive from the Crowne Plaza Sanya hotel, home to Miss World 2007, this hill-top national park overlooking Sanya City is a very popular tourist destination. It is mid-winter on the island of Hainan, yet the sun was beating down on this tropical paradise which has so much to offer the international holidaymaker.
The walk up the hill to a huge stone monument and a gnarled old tree, where you can write out your wish on a red ribbon and tie it to a branch, reveals a whole series of panoramic vistas as you ascend. All the contestants were captivated by the views across the city and out to sea, while all were also interested in the numerous stalls selling necklaces, hats and a whole range of souvenirs and gifts. There were one or two heavy shopping bags on the return to the coach! /missworld.tv
