 As far as visual treats go, this one is quite a scorcher. We are talking about the Shoot Miss India Calendar 2008, which features six gorgeous beauties at exotic Mauritius locations.
A select audience will get to have a sneak peek at this visual treat, which will be launched today at Uppal’s Orchid. Present at the glittering do will be the six beauties who feature in this year’s calendar – Pantaloons Femina Miss India Universe 2007 Puja Gupta, Pantaloons Femina Miss India World 2007 Sarah Jane Dias, Pantaloons Femina Miss India Earth and Miss Earth Air 2007 Pooja Chitgopekar, and Pantaloons Femina Miss India finalists Esha Gupta, Nova Krishnan and Shilpa Keswani.
Shot by photographer Samiko Murjai Nanda, this calendar has many firsts to its name. To start with, it is the first-ever calendar which features the reigning Miss Indias. It has also been shot at scintillating locations in Mauritius, which provide the perfect backdrop to this visual extravaganza.
Talking about the shoot and her experience, Puja Gupta says, “I simply loved the dress I was wearing. The mood was playful and I just wanted to run around the beach and have some fun, which I did while shooting for the calendar.”
Pantaloons Femina Miss India World 2007, Sarah Jane Dias, has also come back impressed. “The colossal ocean and the radiant sun are in perfect harmony in Mauritius. The serenity of the beautiful locations made it a perfect place to shoot.”
Pantaloons Femina Miss India Earth 2007 and Miss Earth Air 2007 Pooja C, too, seem really impressed by Mauritius. Praising it, she says, “We couldn’t have shot at a better site. Gazing at the infinite sparkling blue ocean from the yacht... the place really took my breath away.”
Nova Krishnan and Esha Gupta also couldn’t help raving about the wonderful shoot at one of the most exotic places in the world. With such a breathtaking mix of beauties and pristine locales, this calendar is sure to leave its audience spellbound. /timesofindia.indiatimes.com
