Prague, March 17 - The chances that the finals of the Miss World beauty pageant would be held in Prague next year have increased as Miss World director Julia Morley agreed with the plan, Miloslav Zapletal, former head of the Miss Czech Republic competition, told CTK today.
Zapletal, who would organise the event in Prague, said further steps needed to be taken to sign a contract, especially give financial guarantees.
The team preparing the Miss World pageant today visited possible locations where it could take place.
If Miss World 2009 were organised in the Czech Republic, 120 beauty queens from all around the world would spend a month in the country and travel across the country accompanied by TV cameras.
Morley arrived in Prague along with Miss World 2007, Chinese Zi Lin Zhang, and they attended the Miss Czech Republic finals in Brno, south Moravia, on Saturday. Czech Tatana Kucharova won the Miss World in 2006. Zapletal said he has been wanting to organise an international beauty contest for 12 years. PR NEWS
