 Reigning Miss South Africa Tansey Coetzee will soon jet off to Nha Trang, Vietnam, to represent South Africa at the 57th Miss Universe competition.
The prestigious event will be held on July 13 in the Crown Convention Centre at the Diamond Bay Resort in Nha Trang, Vietnam. Next Tuesday Coetzee will arrive in Vietnam for a month of activities and sightseeing before the event.
Contestants from more than 80 countries around the world will be judged in three categories– swimsuit, evening gown and interview – as they contend for the coveted title of Miss Universe 2008.
An exhilarated Coetzee said she was “very happy to participate in Miss Universe”. “It is the chance of a lifetime,” she said. “If I win many doors will open for me. /sowetan.co.za
