 Carleen Ramlochansingh, a harmonious blend of Indian, Spanish and African ancestry, was born in the magnificent city of San Fernando, Trinidad, but grew up the academic capital of the West Indies, St. Augustine. Carleen entered this world to parents, Carol and Joseph Ramlochansingh. She has one sister Carlana.
She fulfilled her primary school education at Curepe Presbyterian School and attended high school at St. Joseph Convent, St. Joseph. She then chose to pursue her tertiary education at the prestigious Morgan State University, Baltimore, Maryland.
Carleen graduated in May 2006 with honors, Magna Cum Laude, with a Bachelors of Science degree in Marketing. During her tenure at Morgan State, she had a great impact on the university and headed several Caribbean organizations and associations using her talents to always bring Caribbean people of diverse heritage together
Upon graduation, Carleen relocated to New York City to launch her career as marketing strategist in the financial district. This is when, the new resident of Brooklyn, entered and placed an overall first runner up in the Miss Trinidad and Tobago New York Pageant, and also captured the trophies for Miss Photogenic and Miss People’s Choice. As a result, she was the delegate elect to represent Trinidad and Tobago at the Miss Caraibes Hibiscus Pageant, in December 2006 at the Casino Royale Theater, Maho, St Maarten. Once again Carleen was victorious. She was awarded the title of Best Traditional Costume and placed an overall second runner up. In fall 2007 she will begin her MBA in International Business at St. John’s University, which will include a semester in Rome, Italy. After which she plans to pursue her JD in an effort to practice Corporate Law, possibly followed by a PhD in Business Ethics & Policy. Eventually, she would love to teach Business at the University-level. Her life ambition is to create a non-profit organization to help underprivileged gifted young women afford tertiary education through scholarships. Furthermore, her ultimate goal is to launch her own chain of fashion clothing stores in both the Caribbean and the United States. When her schedule permits, Carleen takes pleasure in traveling, sightseeing and spending time with family and friends. She is also very athletic and enjoys a friendly game of soccer, badminton and cricket. /Stepuppageants
